How we work

SlovenskeNoviny is a daily about the world outside Slovakia. Every story is built from several independent sources: the newsroom collects reporting from hundreds of outlets, groups it into stories and ranks them by importance.

How an article is made

For every story we build a knowledge tree: who, what, where and when, which claims several outlets confirm and which are disputed. Missing pieces are researched on purpose. The article is our own text written from that knowledge, not a translation of someone else's article. Every paragraph links to the sources it rests on.

Live articles

Our articles are not static. When a story develops, the article is updated and every version stays in its history. Press Update at any time to ask for the latest.

Social media

The social media section is anecdotal: it shows what people post, not what is true.
