In a separate Oct. 4 report, The Kyiv Independent said a Russian attack in Kyiv damaged a 25-storey apartment building, leaving one person dead and two injured. That account came amid reports of attacks in several Ukrainian regions.1

Attacks around the Kyiv region

The Kyiv Independent said on Oct. 3 that a Russian drone attack in Hostomel, Kyiv Oblast, hit warehouse sites and was reported to have wounded four people, one of them a child. Two men and a woman suffered multiple injuries, while an eight-year-old girl sustained a shrapnel wound to a lower limb. At least one person was taken to hospital.1

The Hostomel attack reportedly set a warehouse and several production facilities on fire. The outlet said it could not immediately verify the reports, and company officials had not commented.1

The outlet reported at least three deaths and 16 injuries in Sumy Oblast, including a 52-year-old employee killed in a drone strike on a medical-supplies warehouse.
